MAPC’s professional octet of soloists will be joined by guest professional singers in a performance of Bach’s sublime motet, Jesu, meine Freude, and the poignant Die Sieben Worte ("Seven Last Words of Christ") by Heinrich Schütz. Evocative motets written by extended members of the Bach Family: Johann Christoph Bach and Johann Ludwig Bach will round out the program.
Admission to Saint Andrew Music Society choral concerts is: $30 ($25 Students/Seniors 62+). Tickets may be purchased in advance (see below) before 1 pm on the day of the concert, or at the door.
